The 29th Edition of the International Competition for Young Performers of Bulgarian and Popular Song “Northern Lights” Began Today
The event is organized by the Northern Lights Association, directed by Maestro Vili Ikonomov, with the support of Ruse Municipality and the Municipal Youth Center.
Deputy Mayor Zlatomira Stefanova met with the jury members who will evaluate the participants. Toni Dimitrova, Haigashod Agasyan, Svetoslav Loboshki, Eva Naydenova, Todor Modolev, and Vili Ikonomov shared their impressions of their beloved city of Ruse and expressed their hope that this year’s competition will once again reveal the talents of many gifted performers from the Danube city and across Bulgaria. For their contribution to the development of culture in Ruse, they received certificates of appreciation from Deputy Mayor Stefanova.
The competition program will continue throughout the afternoon and evening today. On October 11 (Saturday), performances will begin at 11:00 a.m.
The final of the competition will take place on October 12 (Sunday) with a gala concert starting at 5:30 p.m.
During the closing evening, the best participants will be awarded, and the special guest will be the popular Bulgarian singer Toni Dimitrova, who will present a recital.
Admission to all concerts is free, and the organizers invite the residents and guests of Ruse to support the young talents and enjoy their inspiring musical performances.
