Competition "Ruse - The Christmas Star of the Danube"

The Municipality of Ruse announces a competition for Christmas facade decoration under the title "Ruse - The Christmas Star of the Danube".

 

Start of the competition – 14.11.2025

End of the competition – 05.12.2025

 

The competition aims to encourage creativity and festive spirit by providing participants with an opportunity to showcase their skills and talents in Christmas decoration. The main task is to create an atmosphere of warmth and coziness by decorating the buildings, houses, balconies, courtyards, inter-block spaces, business buildings, and commercial premises on the territory of the Municipality of Ruse.

The competition is open to all interested parties – individuals, families, home councils, companies, and organizations. Participation can be both individual and group (neighbors, friends, colleagues).

The competition is organized by the Municipality of Ruse, which is responsible for evaluating, coordinating, and announcing the winners.

 

The competition is in three categories:

• condominium (building, balcony, courtyard of inter-block space)
• companies/organizations (facade)
• private property (houses, trees, yard space in front of the house)

 

The evaluation will be carried out based on the following criteria:

• originality – creative approach and innovative ideas
• technical execution – attention to detail
• atmosphere – the ability of the decoration to convey a festive spirit
• lighting – efficiency and aesthetics of lighting elements (if any)

 

! Photos that are not subject to copyright are not allowed.

! Precise installation of the decoration and proper securing are necessary.

 

Participation procedure:

- Participants must complete the online entry form (Google Forms) -  https://forms.gle/FNUJTWVdyX2JE9jV7. Registration includes contact information, photo/video attachment, and a short description of the decoration. Participants agree that their photos/videos may be used to promote the contest in the media and social networks.

- Each participant must submit up to 5 photos or a video up to 1 minute long that clearly shows the decoration in its finished form.

 

The evaluation will be carried out by a specially selected jury of professionals, who will select the winners based on the previously announced criteria.

 

The prizes for all three categories are as follows:

• for 1st place – 600 BGN
• for 2nd place – 400 BGN
• for 3rd place – 200 BGN

 

Winners will be announced and awarded by December 12, 2025.
