An exhibition dedicated to the 33rd research mission to Antarctica will be presented at the Eco-Museum with Aquarium. “Following the Birds’ Flight on the Way to Antarctica” is an original project by Dr. Boyan Michev, Senior Assistant at the Institute of Biodiversity and Ecosystem Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and a specialist in ornithology. It features a selection of photographs taken during the voyage of the Bulgarian naval research vessel “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” as part of the 33rd Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition (2024–2025), which began at the port of Varna and reached the South Shetland Islands.
The exhibition at the Eco-Museum will be opened on 1 December, when the International Antarctic Day is celebrated. The event starts at 6:00 PM.
