The eighth edition of the Free Spirit Run will take place this year on Sunday, September 28.
This is a unique sporting event in Eastern Europe with an ever-growing number of participants. This year the race will start in Ruse and finish in Giurgiu. It begins at 11:00 a.m. and has a total prize fund of about 6,000 euros.
The course is nearly 15 km long, mostly flat, and passes by all the main attractions of the two Danube cities.
Crossing the border is done via the nearly two-kilometer bridge connecting the two banks.
The event is open to a maximum of 380 pre-registered participants – professionals or amateurs – who pay a participation fee of 20 euros.
