On Monday, September 22, the citizens of Ruse will mark the 117th anniversary of the Declaration of Bulgaria’s Independence.
The festive day will begin at 11:00 a.m. with an official ceremony organized by Ruse Municipality in front of the Monument of Liberty. The event will feature honor guards from Military Formation 32420 and the 13th Youth Guard Unit of the Municipal Youth Center, as well as performances by the Ruse Municipal Brass Band conducted by Dimcho Rubchev.
Clergy from the Ruse Holy Metropolis will hold a thanksgiving service and a memorial prayer for those who gave their lives in the struggles for Bulgaria’s freedom and independence.
Public transportation in the city will be free of charge for the holiday.
