Efforts are being united by several organizations - Municipal Foundation "Ruse - City of the Free Spirit", Association "Danube Radiance", Speleo Club "Academic", Yacht Club Port Ruse, RIEW-Ruse, Basin Directorate "Danube Region", and Regional Directorate of Fire Safety and Population Protection - Ruse. Together, they have prepared a rich program that promises entertainment, knowledge, and unforgettable experiences for all ages.
- "Water Battles - Summer 2025" of the Municipal Foundation "Ruse - City of the Free Spirit" will give a symbolic start to the summer vacation. The event will offer a series of fun, competitive games with water, overcoming obstacles, accuracy, agility, balance, and speed. Teams of three players will compete and demonstrate agility and speed. The most active participants and the audience animators of "Veseliacite" have prepared many fun games and prizes. The event is carried out with the financial support of the companies Smart Speed EOOD, Tiva Com EOOD, Holleman Bulgaria EOOD, Husqvarna Ruse EOOD, and Inout Trade EOOD.
- For the fourth consecutive year, the Danube Splendor Association will organize its Children's Art Happening "On the Riverbank", also with the financial support of the Municipal Foundation. The program includes a coloring workshop, sand paintings, painting on natural shells, and fascinating "magical" science experiments.
- Visitors will also be able to enjoy the unique exhibition "The Fairytale Danube", created with great love for the river by talented children, as well as see beautiful water creatures made by children at risk, socially disadvantaged and refugees in applied art workshops at the Bulgarian Red Cross, the Bulgarian Children's Center for Children and Youth and the Children's Palace. The exhibition will serve as a smooth transition between the official announcement of the results of the Sixth Online Drawing Competition "The Fairytale World of Nature" (June 28 at the Ecomuseum with Aquarium at 11:00 a.m.) and the celebration on the pier.
- The Speleological Club “Academic“ launched its project "Scout Academy - Life Skills", also with the financial support of the Municipal Foundation, with its first event dedicated to "Young Explorers - Wetlands: What and Why?". The goal is for children and scouts from Ruse to get to know the wetlands around the city, understand their importance, and develop responsibility for environmental protection. The initiative is aimed at children and young people between the ages of 7 and 18 who have an adventurous spirit and a desire to become part of the largest youth network in the world.
- Yacht Club Port Ruse, proud successor of the first yacht club in Bulgaria from 1934, will organize a boat parade with the participation of 7 sailing yachts and 6 motor boats. The skippers will demonstrate their love and respect for the Danube, drawing the attention of the Ruse public to the wealth and significance of the river. The club, which has a rich fleet and 40 active members, invites all Ruse residents to join the celebration and learn more about its activities.
- The celebration will also be joined by representatives of the Regional Directorate for Water Resources and Environmental Protection-Ruse and the Danube Region Basin Directorate, who have prepared a quiz with questions about the Danube River and prizes for the most knowledgeable.
- Thanks to the District Directorate of Fire Safety and Population Protection - Ruse, children will learn how important a resource water is, especially in fire-hazardous situations, they will be able to take a close look at a fire truck, put on a firefighter's helmet, and take a photo as a souvenir. They will also be able to test their skills by shooting at a target with a foam pump, and the goal is to fill the container with the required amount of water. Of course, there will be prizes for the winners.
The organizers urge all visitors: "Bring your water guns and sprinklers – if you don't have any – we'll give them to you to join in the final water battle of the event!"
