On June 24, the first opening information event of the city's newest educational format, "My Ruse - Creative Workshop for Tourism" will be held in Hall 1 of Ruse Municipality. The main participants are fifteen students from the Ivan P. Pavlov Vocational High School of Tourism and their teachers in the role of mentors.
"My Ruse - Creative Workshop for Tourism" is an innovative educational format that brings together high school students, business mentors, and teachers in the field of tourism. The project is implemented by the "Hub for Innovation and Tourism" association, Veliko Tarnovo, with the financial support of the "Ruse - City of the Free Spirit" Foundation.
The initiative aims to provoke the creative thinking of young people, to get to know and present innovative practices that can be applied to the development of tourism in Ruse, and to establish it as a recognizable destination. The selection of high school students has already been made - young people with interests in the fields of tourism, innovation, ecology, and culture. The educational activities planned provoke fresh thinking of young people outside the imposed standard models. The project includes two main educational approaches - lecture and mentoring. For several days in the fall, established tourism teachers from the Veliko Tarnovo University "St. Cyril and Methodius", together with experts and representatives of the practice, will deliver three consecutive educational lectures, focusing on three main lines: innovative tourist routes and programs, sustainable practices in tourism, and experience in tourism.
The next stage of the project is working with mentors, representatives of the tourism business. Five representatives of the country's tourism industry, who successfully implement and develop working business models on the market, will share their views on innovative tourism products with high school students. Who they are and what the finale of the educational format envisages will be told by its organizers next Tuesday, June 24, at 1:30 p.m. in Hall 1 of the Ruse Municipality.
