The Garash Cake Festival will be held for the fourth time in 2025.

Attend and take part in the sweetest celebration. The event will be held at Svoboda Square.
The organizers of the event are the Municipality of Ruse and the Tourism Department of the Ruse Art Public Organization.
Registration for the Garash cake-making competition for amateurs will take place from July 21 to August 15. Applications will be accepted via email with a pre-filled application form. The competition for amateur confectioners this year will also feature two categories: a cake made according to a classic recipe and a non-traditional recipe, which allows participants to unleash their imagination and present their modern interpretation of the chocolate cake.
The maximum number of cakes for both competitions is 100, and only people who are not professionally involved in confectionery can participate in them.
A jury of professionals will choose the best amateur confectioners. The prizes for the top places are provided by the Vocational Training School "Alexandrovs Academy" and Chef Ivan Alexandrov, a Bulgarian confectioner with world fame. These are 5 kg of chocolate for first, second and third place in each of the two competitions, as well as two vouchers worth 2,000 BGN for the winners of the 1st place in both categories from the Vocational Training School "Alexandrovs Academy" for the course "Basic Confectionery Techniques" (with a diploma from the Ministry of Education and Science).
Chef Ivan Alexandrov and his brother, actor Vladimir Karamazov, are among the special guests of the Garash Festival. You can expect a rich culinary program with an open master class for children, complementary tastings, and a musical top finish with the charming Mihaela Fileva, Deep Zone Project, and a surprising laser show.
