The Dohodno zdanie building houses the Sava Ognyanov Drama Theater - Ruse.
Dohodno zdanie is a valuable architectural monument, designed by the Viennese architect Peter Paul Branck. It was built in the period 1898 - 1902 in the central part of the city of Ruse. The name comes from the idea that the building would bring the then school board income from the rents for the planned shops, theater hall, library, and casino.
Nowadays, the Dohodno zdanie is a cultural monument and is one of the main symbols of Ruse. The facade of the building is in the neoclassical style, decorated with plastic ornaments and architectural details typical of the late 19th century.
The seven figures of the Profitable Building, symbolizing art, science, agriculture, crafts, trade, defense, and the fields of the spirit, continue to provide the main guidelines for the usefulness of the building, namely: a place for cultural events, concerts, and theatrical performances, a place for conferences and exhibitions, a place for exhibitions and other artistic manifestations.
