The only one of its kind in Bulgaria
If you want to learn how people traveled in the past, visit the "Museum of Transport" in Ruse. It is located under the "Youth Park" on the banks of the Danube River.
The magnificent station complex (designed and built in 1864-1866) offers 3 museum exhibitions for visitors:
- The "Old Station" - represents the vital moments of the development of railway transport in Bulgaria and the railway connection with passenger shipping on the Danube River.
- "Park-Museum" - trains from the mid-19th century and the mid-20th century, goods and specialized wagons.
- "Wagon-salons" unique - for high-ranking trips from the 1st and 2nd government trains. Among the crowned persons who had the privilege of traveling with them were - Sultan Abdul Aziz, Empress Eugenia, Princess Clementina, H.H. Alexander Battenberg, H.H. Ferdinand I, H.V.C. Boris III, and others.
Working hours: Tuesday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
