Park of the Revivalists

The Park of the Revivalists in Ruse is one of the symbols of the city. In addition to a place for relaxation and walking, the park aims to keep the minds of Ruse residents awake and to transport them back in time. The park carries centuries of history with it. The most famous place in the park is the cemetery "All Saints" as prominent Bulgarians Baba Tonka, Lyuben Karavelov, Panayot Hitov, and many others are buried there.

The Park of the Revivalists and the Pantheon of the Revivalists preserve the memory of many heroes and great personalities from Bulgarian history. This place, which preserved so much cultural wealth, fell victim to the reformist ambitions of the political system in the second half of the 20th century, as happened with many other buildings and monuments in Bulgarian lands. The Pantheon of the Revivalists is a national temple - an ossuary of 453 supporters of the Bulgarian National Revival.
