Ecomuseum with aquarium


The Ecomuseum presents the coexistence of man with nature, the diversity of animal species, and the protected areas along the Danube River. The museum weaves into its story the traditional livelihood of local communities and their attitude towards the surrounding nature.

The Ecomuseum's exposition is located on four levels with a total area of ​​over 2000 sq m. On the first floor of the museum, there are three separate halls. Two are on the themes of "swamp ecosystem" and "paleontology". On the ground floor is the largest freshwater aquarium in Bulgaria, filled with 65 tons of water. In six tanks, fish are displayed - typical inhabitants of the Danube River. On the second floor is a diorama, which integrates sound, video, photography, sculpture, and dermatoplasticity. On the third floor is the hall that presents various museum collections.

Every day from 09:00 to 18:00 (9 AM to 6 PM).
